The workout of the day is…

Hero Workout

“Brother Birt”

11 Rounds

29m Shuttle run
10 x burpees
10 x sit-ups
10 x thrusters

Time cut off 25 mins.


Corporal Ashley Birt was killed on operations in Afghanistan on 29 October 2011.

Born in Nambour, Queensland in 1989. He enlisted into the Australian Regular Army in June 2007 and was allocated to the Royal Australian Engineers as a Geospatial Technician.


Even though Remembrance Day is today, tomorrow we will do doing the hero workout ‘Brother Birt’ that was written in remembrance of local young man Ashley Birt.

If anyone within the Gympie community would like to come along and do this workout with us there will be no charge for you to drop in, we only ask that you make a donation to Legacy. Legacy is a charity that provides services to Australian families suffering after injury or death of a family member during or after their defence force service.

Classes will run at 5:30am, 9:30am, 5pm and 6:15pm. Please send us a message to let us know you will be coming along.
